Ghost hunting essentials

Readers often ask me what equipment I consider essential for paranormal investigation. As I’m packing for Malvern Manor tonight, this seemed like a good opportunity to demo my working kit.

In no particular order of importance:

EDI (”Eddy“) combination EMF meter, thermometer, & accelerometer

Trifield EMF meter (both natural and standard models)

K-2 meter (because why not)

PSB-11 Spirit Box

Laser Grid and tripod

Digital voice recorder x2

Infra-red Puck (floods room with IR light)

Boo-Buddy EMF/temperature/motion-sensing teddy bear

Miniature Ouija Board and planchette (no lectures about how this is supposedly a gateway to the demonic or somesuch)

Glass for tabletop glass work

Kettle/tea-pot, Tetley tea, and four cups (We run on caffeine)

Bose noise-canceling headphones

Tactical and head-mounted flashlights

Dowsing rods

Power extension cable w/surge protector

Beau coup extra batteries

Pens, notebook

Light reading (you can never go wrong with Peter Underwood)

Adorable dog x1 (sadly, she’s staying home)

Very naughty cats (VNC) x2 (fortunately, they’re staying home too)
