Who would like to have the dedication in an internationally-published book next year?
I am currently finishing up the manuscript for the second volume of my paranormal research memoir, provisionally titled “These Haunted Hallways.” It is under contract with Llewellyn Worldwide for publication in the early fall/autumn of 2018.
I auctioned off the dedication to “The World’s Most Haunted Hospitals” on behalf of the Teenage Cancer Trust two years ago, raising three hundred quid (thanks to the generosity of one Mr. Ade Barwick).
In light of the tragic events that took place in Manchester yesterday, I would like to do the same thing again, donating the money to those charities who are supporting the victims and relief efforts. Here’s how it will work:
Bid in the comments section over at https://www.facebook.com/richardestepauthor/
The highest bidder once I close the auction (Friday night at midnight, Mountain Time) will get to dedicate the book to the person of their choice, and get to write up to three lines in order to personalize it.
Nothing libelous, obscene, politicall, or otherwise offensive is acceptable. The dedication can be to a person of your choice, living or dead (“in loving memory of…”). The book will be in bookshops around the world before Halloween of 2018, usually in September in the US and October in the UK, if things go according to plan. The cover has yet to be finalized, but probably won’t be a million miles away from the beautiful artwork that graced the cover of the first volume.
Questions? Then have at it! Let’s do some good for a good cause.
Let the bidding commence!
